Join us to learn about the history and development of agriculture, differences between conventional and organic farming, and the facts and misinformation related to technology, food safety, and the process of growing our food. 

Presented by:
Jan Kochis, RDN, LD - Farmer, Rancher, and owner of Nutrition Plus, a consulting business for health care facilities in Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas.
Sondra Pierce - Farmer in Boulder County that grows both conventional and organic crops.
Both women volunteer with CommonGround, a group of women in agriculture with the goal of starting conversations to clear up consumer confusion about how our food is grown or raised so that everyone can trust the people and process behind their food.

We will begin this meeting early with a special introduction from Jenna Allen, MS, RDN, who works as the Health & Wellness Program Coordinator for one of our sponsors, the Western Dairy Association.

Directions: Park in the main parking garage on the corner of Gilpin & 19th St., enter the hospital through the Adult Surgery Entrance (Just NW of the Main Entrance) and the Colorado South Conference room will be on your right.
